In the dead middle of winter, when it's so cold you can't go outside because your eyeballs will freeze open, I feel this emptiness that can only be filled with sunshine, shorts and longer days. I needed to do something creative. I needed flowers and summer and fulfilling my constant crazy craving for doing creative work for myself. For my soul. To ease the torture of winter. (Yes, I'm going there right now) Mercedes and I had been talking about a doing a photoshoot for a few months. Mercedes wanted new photos. I wanted to take some photos. What could be more perfect? She brought flowers from Toronto, made herself a pretty elaborate crown and off we went to my studio bedroom & spare room and just did what we love to do. Create. It wasn't fancy, but it definitely filled that creativity void, at least for a little while...
