The Girls Favourites. little yeti shoes

Thursday, 3 July 2014

For my next 'The Girls Favourites',  I'm going to talk about moccasins. So I am clearly very behind on the mocs craze because this is Ellia's first pair. Yes, I know, it's craziness. I have been eying up all of the kiddies with gorgeous mocs all over Instagram and just could not commit to purchasing a pair. It is a little overwhelming with all of the choices out there, I must say. When a local lady from Ottawa named Aly asked if she could send me a pair, I have to be honest and tell you that I did a serious happy dance and texted approximately 5 people to tell them about it. These mocs are stunning, made from leather and are hand splattered with neon pink paint!! I've been known to splatter a thing or two every now and then and when I saw them, I just knew they were the ones. They went on Ellia's chubby, long foot perfectly and stayed put. The leather is soft and the elastic is just perfect, not tight at all. I am so impressed with these moccasins, I want to go on a moccasin shopping spree and buy more. I of course love support local moms too, but Aly does ship worldwide and her pricing is very competitive. They are a must see!! Aly's etsy shop is called Little Yeti Shoes!

The Girls Favourites || Caged Bird

Wednesday, 2 July 2014

Today's 'The Girl Favourites' is some stunningly creative jewelery from Caged Bird. Wyatte is the creator of these gorgeous hand painted and handmade pieces which feature a little charm, and Ellia and I just adore them so much! They are so fun and colourful and add a little pop to every outfit. They come in the sweetest little package and would be great as gifts too. I think they are little works of art and have set them out in Ellia's room on display, because, seriously, who doesn't love donuts, pineapples and tassels?

Wyatte is a sweet soul with a 2 year old daughter Josie who has Autism. She is always trying to raise awareness for Autism and shares her life with Josie on Instagram and her blog, and I am so happy to follow along!

The Girls Favourites || FlamingoBaby

Monday, 30 June 2014

I've decided to start a new little series called 'The Girls Favourites'.  You all know how much I love pretty stuff, I mean who doesn't? If it is something homemade and one of a kind, that's even better. Unique pieces that are well made, are so wonderful, especially if they support local or mom-businesses. I am so happy to see so many woman following their dreams and starting shops with quality, fun and fabulous pieces, so I think they need a little shout out!

First I am going to show you guys this absolutely gorgeous flamingo blanket and arrow leggings. They are both made from Organic fabric and are so incredibly soft and lovely. Ellia and I are clearly partial to flamingos (not a shock if you follow me on Instagram) and she has not put down this blanket since we received it! The leggings are extra adorable and so comfy!

The maker of these wonderful pieces is Megan from FlamingoBaby. Megan and I went to university together and she now has her own sweet little girl! Everything is handmade by Megan from 100% Organic Cotton and her pieces would definitely make perfect gifts or additions to any nursery!

Megan is currently offering 10% off all orders for a limited time, so please go and check out her shop!! Coupon code is natspencer :)

This past week was an excellent mail week. I was so excited when I opened a package with these gorgeous triangle leggings from Taylor Joelle Designs! It's no shocker that I have a thing for geometric shapes, black and white, it doesn't get much better.  I adore so many of their pieces for both boys and girls!
