For Santa

This year the Christmas season was so fun with Ellia! She loved our Elf on a Shelf, Larry and looked forward to finding him every morning. After she found him, she got to open her advent treat. And every morning she was SO EXCITED about whatever was in the box, it was the cutest. 

She also started to understand the concept of Santa a bit. Although, she did not like him in person. Typical. She called him Ho Ho, it still makes me smile thinking about it.

We made some cookies for Santa too. Girlfriend sure does like to bake just like her mama!

Ellia's Christmas Tree

Ellia is so in love with all things Christmas this year! My parents bought her a little white tree and I set it all up for her to decorate. Like everything she does these days, she was super excited, went all out for about 5 minutes and then declares, "done, mama, done" pulled off her skirt and walked out of the room. She wants me to keep it on for her every night too, so I always sneak in after she's asleep, take a few minutes to look at her adorable sleeping self and then turn the tree lights off and sneak back out.

Christmas house tour 2014

I love this time of year. I love the smell of our balsam fir, the hundreds of lights twinkling all day long. The special ornaments that come out once a year, and the fact that it is acceptable to have pretty much every room decorated with festive things. The endless batches of cookies, The Polar Express on repeat, buying, wrapping and giving gifts, and Ellia looking for Larry the Elf every morning and then running over to her Advent Calender to open her little present. It's all just awesome.
